Help. My Tomtom is cheesing me off!

So I just received by TomTom XL 330 S today. Opened it. Brand new. Plug it in to my computer, and I begin to download a map onto it. Working fine, until perhaps 4/5 way into finishing installing the map on my GPS, my computer gives me this error claiming that I disconnected my GPS. So I try again. And again. And AGAIN. I give up. Everytime I try to install the map, my computer keeps on telling me that I disconnected it. :mad2: I have a Mac. Anyone else encountered this problem before? Any help is appreciated greatly.
