Help! Cannot remove car charger from new xl live

I've just bought the xl live sat nav and it works fine but I tried to remove the car charger when I got back and I cannot remove it to attach the usb cable, is it faulty do you think? I'm thinking of taking it back and explaining what the problem is.

Any suggestions or similar problems would be welcome

I would take it back as it shouldn't be difficult to pull the plug out of the base of the device - Mike
