Maps cannot be installed on my device? Help please!!!

HI there, i dont know if im posting this in the right place.

I live in Spain, and bought a tom tom with my new car, however im planning to drive to london next week, so i would like to buy the western europe map.

So i plug my tom tom in and it connects to tom tom home, and i go to the shop, but it says this map cannot be installed on my device, however it is not just that map, it says that for all the maps.

I have a 1 gig tom tom and have got enough room for the map, so why cant it be installed on my device?

Any help would be appriciated!
