Just got myself a new Go 6100 but am trying to do the initial update and my computer keeps crashing with a DPC_watchdog_violation. I've tried looking on microsoft forums for a work around and am not getting much helpful information (it either seems to be that Windows 10 updates should have fixed the problem or try shutting off the firewall and have already made sure all the updates are downloaded and tried turning off the firewall all to no effect), has anyone on here encountered the same problem and found a solution?

Google search "DPC_watchdog_violation" brings quite a few returns. Be careful not to download free "Fix it" software from unknown sources.

This Youtube may be your answer:

I assume you're getting a BSOD along with the watchdog notification?

I am. The video the first poster linked to is for windows 8, but am using windows 10. Found a video for a fix on windows 10 and am in the process of trying that out, though am currently redownloading Mydrive connect as when I connected my device after I'd tried the fix it was just hanging.

Thanks for the help, although was still getting the watchdog violation after reinstalling Mydrive, clearing the cache in Mydrive seems to have resolved the problem and have now managed to update my new device.
