GO 720 unable to link to PC

I've suddenly come across the situation where when I attach my go 720 to the pc , switch on the GO, I don't get the option to connect to PC. Has anyone come across this before, and if so how do I resolve the issue. (I have tried to use a USB connector in place of the docking unit, but to no avail)

A pin reset with fix this issue and many others. On the bottom of the unit there is a small hole, insert a paper clip and hold the switch for a few seconds. This does not wipe any settings, etc but a backup is always recommended.
