Getting frustrated

Grettings: Have been trying to get my tom tom on the computer so that I can plan some routes. I have uninstalled the program , placed the tomtom home disc and started the program. Message pops up that there is a more recent version ( v 2.6 ) I download it and it says that is has successfully downloaded the program. When you go to run the progam I get TomTomHomeruntime.exe failed with error O. Any ideas

Try ignoring the newer version notice and load the one on the DVD to see if you're successful.

If you have a pc, ensure that you have dot net framework installed. (Control Panel-->Add/remove Programs)

If not, you can dl and install from here.
