battery saving

Model XXL530. I want to extend the life of my battery on a journey when not plugged into the car. So I have revised "Battery Saving Preferences" to "Dim screen between instuctions", but the screen does not dim that I can see. Can the unit shut off between instuctions or how else can I save the battery.:rant:

Go to Change Preferences, Safety preferences. Tap Done, Done, Done (3 times) and you should be at the Turn off map display screen.

Now you can try these and see if it will do what you want.

Many thanks Spider362 :wave:. Never done that before. It's good. I like the graphics and the map always tends to distract me from the driving. But this gives turns only. I like it.
