Battery life for the 920

The battery life on my 920 maybe lasts a couple of hours. How long does your alls last? I left it connected to my PC overnight turned off too...

TomTom's claim of 'up to 5 hours' is wildy exaggerated. Most get 2 to 2 1/2 at best. Mind you, the device is meant to run while attached to the car charger.

Also, have you checked Preferences-->Battery Savings options?

So there's no concern with leaving it plugged in all the time? I figured that would kill the battery.

A lot of people (including me) have been burned by TomTom's deceptive advertising on this. The original units (300,700, x10 series) had 2300 mah batteries and lasted close to the 4 hours advertised.

In the newer thinner units - they put in a small sized (flat - so it would fit) 1200, mah battery and then advertised it as lasting 5 hours.

Do the arithmetic - 1/2 sized battery lasts longer (or so they advertise) ?
