Go 730 battery life

I have a problem with the battery life in my Go 730 , if its charged for 4 hours + on the house charger and then switched on it lasts only 3-4 minutes and then the battery go's flat .
Tom Tom collected the unit for repair and then returned it saying it was fine and the battery was ok which is rubbish .
Can I get a replacement battery and fit it myself ?
