730 Update

I updated my 730 with a 46 mb update on Tom Tom Home, now it powers down by itself. I use the restore function, it goes back to it's previous format and works fine. Ideas? Im using version 8.3

I presume you mean you updated to the new Home 2.5 version. I don't see how that would relate to the preference-->battery savings-->power down when external power lost.

I have the 2.4 Home update. Though Im updating to 2.5 as we speak. Im speaking of updating the GPS unit itself. I connected my GPS to the dock and got the normal message of updates available (quick fix, mapshare, etc.) there was also another update available that was about 46 mb. After the 46 mb update, it started powering down by itself.
