720 Handsfree Volume problem

That 30' range is not surprising. I've found that Belkin & TripMaster (iTripMaster ?) have good FM transmitters, ...TomTom, less so.

I have no end of trouble getting the TT to broadcast clearly around town, to the point where I have to either 'cup my hand' around the unit or 'lay hands on' the cig plug cord, to make the static go away. This could probably be solved by an isolator circuit...but then elsewhere, radio stations bleed-in loudly in regular locations, completely drowning out the TT. This never occurs in those spots with the iPod's transmitter (this issue is more likely signal-strength related).

My 2? worth,

R?

I think I read somewhere (Brit forum probably) that the FM transmitting power of the TomToms had to be reduced to meet appropriate limits/standards of the EU for devices of this type).
