XXL 550: one GB or two?

The TT website says the XXL 550 has 1 GB.

Or does it?

BUT THIS TomTom website says it has 2 GB.

And TT tech support says that aside from the interface, it is the same as the 540, which has 2 GB.

So which is the XXL 550, 1 GB or 2?

PS I ran into the same thing with the XXL 540 I ordered - three different TT websites, hosted in different countries, report three different amounts of memory 1, 2, and 4 GB. And no, I was not looking at the World traveler.

Sadly consistancy isn't something TomTom seem to have worked out when it comes to information supplied about device specs.

There are regional differences which might explain some of what you are seeing in terms of capacity.

What I would consider vital though is a memory card slot, if a device doesn't have this expansion capability then I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole to be honest - Mike
