XL not enough memory

Hi can anyone help?
Updated a friends XL recently but at the end it said it couldn't update postal codes as not enough room. I had to leave shortly afterwards but I got to thinking that I saw a SD card sticking out the bottom of the device so I phoned the friend to ask her the size of the card but she said no size printed on it only Tomtom. Does any know what size card the XL ships with and can you fit a larger one?

It's important to determine exactly what model is being referred to. The following link will determine that if the first 2 characters of the serial number are entered.

As far as I know, none of the "XL" models in the UK have an SD card slot... only the original "ONE XL" does.

The ONE XL can only accept SD cards (not SDHC) so you are normally limited to 2GB cards unless you can find a rare non-HC 4GB one.
