Xl 340tm

I got my new XL340TM yesterday (replaced the XL340S) and all seemed to be working well. It received traffic updates and placed a green dot in the top right corner of the unit. This morning it did the same thing and I dropped my car off for service. When I picked the car up this afternoon, the traffic was not updating. I went to tomtom services icon and tapped traffic and it came up with a message to connect the receiver, but it already is. I disconnected and reconnected the cable from both the unit and the power outlet, tried turning the unit off and on with no luck. Can anyone offer and troubleshooting steps to take? Try resetting the unit by holding the power button down for about 10 seconds.
