TomTom Model(s)
720 v8.302
It has been working fine until now and functions well on its own but will not connect.
I get the following error message:
ERROR: Error: Error calling method on NPObject!
in chrome://tthome/content/ui/subtask/emulator/emulatorPage.js:232
Stack:

When I connect It flashes the TT logo for an instant then gives the error message.
I have 'explorer' copied the backup
pin reset and updated TT Home

Any help appreciated
720 v8.351, NA 845.2645, Home 2.7 Win 7

Perhaps try again to completely uninstall Home using Control Panel -->Programs--(sorry, forget the exact wording for W7) and then download and install Home again.

Before downloading Home but after uninstalling, go here:
C:\Documents and Settings\all users\yourname\Application Data\TomTom\ and make sure the TomTom folder is NOT present. If it is, delete it with Explorer.

Then go go here and get Home and install.

Thanks.
I tried that but to no avail, however I did find that it works on an older computer so it must be in the pc.
It had worked with this one. A system restore wouldn't go back far enough.
I'll post more if I can get it solved.

You needn't adjust the font size in your posts .....:)

Have you tried right clicking the icon for Home on your desktop (if it is there) and under properties, run as XP compatible?

This can usually be fixed by resetting HOME:

Close HOME, and go to file->run and type in:
%appdata%

Then in that folder rename Tomtom to TomtomOLD (or you can delete it if you want, as long as you already know your email/password for HOME).

Then re-open HOME and try again.

It works

Thank you, thank you

I don't know what''
Close HOME, and go to file->run and type in:
%appdata%'
did but it worked.

Can anyone decipher this, it is bloody frustrating as I connect my GO750 on the same computer using a different account log in, same version of TOMTOM HOME and it works quite happily but the GO 730 gets this error

Are you completely shutting down Home (including the background running in the notification area) before connecting the 730 to Home?

Do these steps below work?
