What do I need to be a happy TT camper?

Also, and I have no idea if this is important or not, the TT Home screen is showing "No device connected" but, at the same time, the green Charging light is lit.

How can it be charging yet not connected?
My head hurts now.

OK, I don't know if I am supposed to say this or not so I will make it so you need to read between the lines.
My Tom Tom Go 630 T is now fully up to date with the latest application software and the latest maps of Western Europe.
I have Mike to thank for turning my dead lump of plastic and metal into a fully working unit.
He is a scholar and a gentleman.
