So far, it's been TEN MINUTES mapping from Jacksonville, FL to Manistee, MI. That's even slower than after the latest update installed 15 minutes ago, promising "much better" speed at mapping.

Thanks a lot.

PS: Between 5 and 7 satellites are working, according to the screen.

It took 23 seconds because I wasn't quick enough to accept HOV lanes !

You will note some information below the signature line.
Maybe you could volunteer some information as to what device you use, what operating system and what map.

Is there traffic on your route?

Tomtom has an optimization where it disables IQroutes and prioritizes highways on roads over 3 hours from your current location. This helps Tomtom speed up route calculation. It autorecalcs if you stop for more than 5 minutes, so since most people stop for gas/food at least once in 3 hours, this optimization has few (if any) drawbacks.

However, if there is a traffic incident on your route, it keeps IQroutes on for the entire duration of the trip. That means it checks millions upon millions of routes for your drive, and I wouldn't be too surprised if that takes more than 10 minutes.
