Transferring Placemarks from Google My Maps?

Is there any way of transferring placemarks from Google My Maps into a TomTom app on the iPhone?

I usually create maps for travel planning on Google My Maps. The placemarks on this map can be exported as a KML file fairly easily, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to plot these placemarks on a good map (i.e. not OpenStreetMap) which I can use on my jailbroken iPhone abroad without accessing data. Perhaps it could be possible to convert the KML into a TomTom OV2 file which I can load on the iPhone and view in Favorites or as a set of custom POIs?

I've done numerous searches on this topic without any success; forgive me if it's already been mentioned.

Hi,

If you reckon that converting your kml files to ov2 will achieve what you want, then both "Tyre" (Tyre) and POIEdit (PoiEdit - Main) can do that for you.

Unfortunately, the TomTom iPhone app cannot handle TomTom's own itinerary files, which would do the job far better, but at least you'll be able to see your waypoints as POIs.
