TomTom Go app won't start on Iphone 6

I'm trying to use TomTom Go on a spare Iphone 6, while my other Iphone is being repared.
In the app store, it says that my IOS is not compatible withe the current version TT Go, but lets me install an older version. 2.3.1
When I open TT Go, it states: " The app can't start. Check your Internet connection"

The Internet connection works, both phone and wifi, and loctaion services work.

It asks for permission to lokation, which I grant.

What to do? The Ihone 6 has IOS 12.5.7 and can't be futher updated.
Tom Tom Go is version 2.3.1

The app requires iOS 15 or later. I guess that's the reason.

Then why is the option to download a compatible version still there in Apple App Store? I downloaded it yesterday?
TomTom needs to fix that.

The version is compatible on the Apple Store, but if your phone doesn't have iOS 15, GO Navigation won't work.

The app store offers me an older version, which it states is compatible with the IOS version of my phone. Since it can't work, TomTom should have it removed from the Apple app store.

The latest version available on the Apple Store is 3.9.1123 from January 2025.

That sounds rather rude, I often download games for my Grandson on my older IPad.
They download OK, but they won’t work as the IOS version is to old.

If you let me know the exact TomTom older version you are trying to get to work, I will test it on my spare IPhone 6

Thanks for the offer. I will download it again, and see if I can find the version number elsewhere than from inside the app, which doesn't successfully open.
