TomTom version?

In another thread it was suggested that the Home software will report the wrong version of a TomTom. My TomTom reports after having it connected to the Home software on my Mac that it is a TomTom v4 but it was stated the most current version is v3. My TomTom came with the 1GB of internal memory. I was just curious as to what is correct.

This may be similar to the problem with mine Irock.....

I have the latest HOME but it has not caught up with the Firmware 6.525 that was pushed on Thursday AM. I called Tech Support and they stated it will take a bit for the HOME to catch up with the update.

It is weird because my TT 910 is showing different buttons on the Virtual TT, a different version, and other discrepancies.....

Perhaps yours is the same way....I bet Pedro would know....

It is true that VTT reports inaccurate information such as the incorrect time, wrong Boot/OS version, the version of TT1 (i.e. v3 or v4) etc.

They still need to work on a lot bugs. I know for the Mac users, HOME gives them a bit of grief like crashing and IIRC they don't have VTT.

Thanks all. Yeah, I've had Home crash on me a few times but it hasn't been too bad. The biggest complaint is it sometimes just unmounts my TomTom for no apparent reason. Other than that, it has been ok. I don't have the VTT people have talked about but I'm ok with that.
