TomTom Recaculate

I have a TomTom xxl 540tm and was wondering if there was a setting so if I take a different route then what the unit says it will recaculate and not say to turn around.

Nobody forces you to follow the routing of a gps. If you prefer to follow road A while the unit is saying to turn around on road B, then take A. Soon enough the unit will get the hint and catch up so that it provides a different routing.

Thats what I wanted to know if it would eventually recalculate instead of keep saying to turnaround.

It will keep telling you to turn around until it is faster to continue using the route you have taken.

Apparrently. TomTom puts in a 5 minute "penalty"/delay for a U-Turn, so actually it should stop telling you to turn around once your route is less than 5 minutes longer.
