TomTom One Version 2 locking up

It freezes on the start screen and doesn't recognize finger taps. If I connect it to the computer the screen will come up asking me if I want to connect to the computer but it doesn't recognize finger taps. I tried a soft reset and that didn't repair it. Any ideas? Dan
