Hi there

After many months of faithful service my TomTom One has decided to die. :( When I switch it on it asks me to go through setup - select language, right hand drive etc. However, when it comes to select the language voice the screen pauses for about 30 seconds once a voice has been selected and then it turns itself off.

Anybody any ideas on how I can fix it?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

John

For starters:
1. Try a rest on the unit. Not sure whether your model has a dedicated reset hole on the bottom. If not, hold the power button for 10-15 seconds.

2. If that doesn't help, try the Clear Flash tool found here. Run it 3 times.

3. If that doesn't help, use Explorer, not Home, to make a backup of your unit's contents. If not sure how, see here:
https://www.tomtomforums.com/genera...4-how-backup-contents-your-unit-computer.html

Then format the unit. Don't use quickformat. Then restore the backup.
