Tomtom HD Traffic

Hello,

I have just bought a TomTom XL live IQ routes edition device.

I want to have traffic updates on the device but cant work out what i need.

If i want the traffic HD service - do i need to subscribe only or do i need to buy an antenna as well? There is a real lack of information about ths in the manual and no clear guidance on the website.

If i need an antenna - which is the best one to get?

Welcome to TTF.

My understanding is that both the IQ LIVE Routes edition Europe and Regional come with a 12 month subscription to LIVE traffic and other stuff.

Both models come with a micro sim card right in the charger and it should be activated already.

If not call CS in the UK.

The XL IQ Live has a built in GPRS modem and SIM card, any aerial/ hardware needed to receive the data signal is contained within the device.
You should get 12 months free use of the Live services which also offers the Navigate to Google search (one of the better options on the device IMHO)
There is a menu page to display how long your Live services have remaining before they expire, tap Live Services/ About - Mike
