My TomTom620 used to work well in my car when tethered to my iPhone13 and showed the all important 'Traffic updates, alternative routes and delay times. So, whatever I try now, it just will not work. I read something about TomTom parting company with the mighty Apple in 2025, about an unsafe software issue I think so, perhaps I'm fighting a lost cause.
I am hoping some of you younger, clever people can tell me there is a way around this before I throw the 620 in the bin. I can set up my iPhone on a screen mount in my car and use Google Maps or Waze, but I like the bigger screen on the TomTom. Please help.

Thank you
Mike, in very sunny England

Your 620 can also receive traffic data from your phone if set up as a WiFi hotspot. It has for many people proven more reliable than the BT connection with Apple phones.

Your problem has nothing to do with any relationship between Apple and TomTom.
That said, can you be more specific about your 'tethering' process. You're not trying to use a separate TomTom app on your phone to do this, are you?

Sorry for the delayed response as I away on a short break with a limited internet service and thank your for your input.

I have set up Mobile Data ON
Roaming ON
Personal Hotspot ON
PLus of coarse Bluetooth

This has worked in the past with the 620 and an earlier smaller screen TomTom that I have as a spare.

I do not use a TomTom app on my iPhone.
