For years my TomTom 6200 has worked perfectly with its inbuilt SIM card while getting traffic updates, TomTom support has been awful, they told me to factory reset it, did this and still traffic is not connecting !!!

They then said connect my iPhone 15 Pro Max to it via Bluetooth, it still does NOT work and traffic doesn’t update, even though my TomTom is connected to Bluetooth!

what is going on and how do I fix this?

I have tried everything !

Instead of connecting via Bluetooth, connect your GPS to your phone's Wi-Fi.

I can update my maps via wi fi when I’m at home, traffic does NOT work ever

When you're at home, do you have traffic?

As mentioned above,
Instead of connecting via Bluetooth, connect your GPS to your phone's Wi-Fi.

I’ve created a hotspot on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, connected my TomTom 6200 to that via wi fi as you can see from the pictures and STILL no traffic!

If you're still not receiving traffic, there could be several reasons:

Either traffic has been disabled, so TomTom needs to verify that the service is still active.

Or your login information is incorrect.

Or your GPS and phone are not properly paired.

In your menu go to tomtom services and see what is active. If traffic is inactive contact tomtom to reinstate it. If 2g is not in your area connect to your phone to get the traffic working.

My traffic is ACTIVE, everything is active but traffic does not work STILL

i have connected my 6200 to my iPhone 15 Pro Max via Bluetooth, it’s connected using a hotspot wi Fi / Bluetooth and says connected

This is now doing my head in as to why traffic is not working

See link here to what my device says

Do TomTom have to turn the SIM card back on again to make it work ? If it’s not working with my iPhone and says GPRS disconnected but it is connected, I’m confused

Forgotten, if your SIM card is deactivated, Tomtom will not reactivate it.

Are you sure about your login information?

I am not an iPhone user but that link looks like is only for your icloud data not your 5g GPRS connection.

Hi. I'm not an iPhone user but have you tried Tethering via Bluetooth. This link is from my android for a GO620. It might be helpful, or not. Have a squiz.

The link was just to show you all what my 6200 is displaying - my sat nav is definitely connected correctly but still no traffic

My iPhone is connected correctly via wi fi hotspot

Basically guys, everything is connected on my device, but still no traffic ! GPRS says “disconnected” permanently, doesn’t matter that I’m using my iPhone and it saying connected. I took SIM card out and cleaned it., put it back in and still no GPRS, so I guess it’s worthless now with no traffic!

I think you must have entered a login error, either the email address or the password are incorrect.

Reset the device to factory settings, then re-enter your login credentials.

The log in says it’s correct !! I’m logged into my account successfully

I have factory reset the device TWICE and still no GPRS
