Tom Tom Go 720 not loading

after changing the battery in my Tom Tom Go 720 it turns on but does not load and to turn it off i have to press the reset button.Does anyone have any ideas ?

It could be that you've damaged a component on the main circuit board while trying to get the old battery off.

It wouldn't be the first time that's happened. I've got a 720 that a friend managed to muck up while doing a battery change. It still runs, but none of the Bluetooth works any more. I can see the component he broke, but haven't ever got round to trying to fix it.

But hopefully, it's something less serious.
