I just purchased a Tom Tom Start2. I am battling to view the route that i have just planned.

Please help..

Check the 2 sticky threads at the top of this forum. You may see a firmware release that improves your situation. You may also want to try the tweak in the 2nd thread.

You've no doubt been caught unaware by TomTom's recent release of units with "minimalistic" menus when you bought a Start2. Lots of unhappy campers out there, but it looks like they got the message. There's making it simple, and there's taking away critical features. Looks like they're beginning to understand the difference back in Amsterdam.

The new application 9.150 is unfortunately not available for the START/EASE line of models. But the link canderson points out will work on your model and, if you follow through, will allow for even more menu choices.

Yes, I should have been clearer about that. When I said "You may see a firmware release...", I didn't mean that one of the new XL releases will work for the OP, only that there's hope that he may see one for his unit at some point since TomTom appears to be reversing course on their pared down menu selections.

While we're on the discussion, dhn, have you heard (via grapevine) whether there will indeed be similar firmware being released for the other models with the dreaded EasyMenu configuration?
