Possible live extention

On some gps site some people with the 740 were talking about an email from tomtom extenting live for an extra month and some others were finding a year extention. Has anyone noticed anything
 
Every post I've seen along those lines was in Europe. Hadn't noticed any similar offer in NA, at least yet.
