POI files won't show up on real time maps

I'm having a problem with a TomTom ONE XL. A POI file that I downloaded from another site will not show up on the real time maps. The file shows up in my map directory and when I use the BROWSE MAPS feature I can find individual POIs but when I choose one it doesn't show up on the map. I've selectecd the POI file as one that I want to show on my map as well as set it to warn when I approach a POI. IT only happens with this one file, other POI files that I have downloaded from the otehr site work fine. I deleted and re-copied the file, no help. The file does work on anotehr TomTom unit.

And you are sure you've put the ov2 file in the specific map folder?

Yes, in fact the POI file has worked before on this unit. AS I said anotehr POI file from the same site still works just fine.
