Hi can any one advise me

My tom tom one XL has worked fine until yesterday when it froze I have pressed the re set button and now it lets me set the language and the clock but will not let me get pass selecting the vioce (when I press the select button it freezes)
i am about to throw it in the bin

Use Explorer, not Home, to make a complete backup of the unit. Ensure hidden files/folders are showing.

Now, try the Clear Flash tool found here. Run it 3 times.

If that doesn't help, after your Explorer backup, delete all the loose files in the unit, NO folders or their contents.

Next, connect the unit to Home. It should offer an application. Download and install. Any better?
