Please help with 710, just got it and cant use it since there is no sd card.

So i work at wal-mart and we just discontinued the GO 710 model so i snatched up the display model,

it had no power cords no card nothing...just the unit, so i purchased the universal power adapter and when it came on, it says that it wants me to put in a sd card in, so this what i did: i went on totom.com downloaded tomtom home, formatted an empty 4gb sd card and put on a "tomtom application for go510, go710" on it through tt home, and it didnt work, so i was wondering....is there anyway i can get this thing to work, im going on a trip next week and it would come in pretty handy, thank you!

Actually, it's a great forum. You just happened to have a problem that none of us knew the solution to.

ok maybe i was a little harsh well here is the solution:

download application to the sd card throuhg tt home
buy and download a new map

i love this thing specially bluetooth and a very strong signal even though i dont have an external antenna
