please help! Voice not working!

I have a TomTom XL and the voice worked up until yesterday
I have checked all the basic areas within the device but cant get it to work???

Any ideas?

Your model does not have text to speech, I believe. Is that correct?

If so, when you select a recorded voice, do you hear anything with the 'test' button?

Try these in order:
1. Have you tried a reset on the unit?
2. The Clear Flash tool found here. Run it 3 times.

3. You may wish toReturn to Factory Defaults. You'll lose your custom settings but worth a shot....

I reset it but still no luck.

I hear nothing when i click the test button....


whats weird is this all worked a few days ago. I have changed nothing and now it doesnt work.

I do not have my cables with me neccesary to connect it to a computer. But if thats my only option I will have to find them.

Any other ideas?? Do you tihink the device could be bad?

I don't suppose under Voice Preferences, you've disabled voice?

nah unfortunately not.

I am going to try your suggestions once I get a usb cable.
