patch not working

My first question as newbie

I have a tomtom XL series 30
navcore 8.010
and the map western_and_central_europ2Gb (835.2419) is not working

the patch give me this error message:
"can not read ID from ttgo.bif"

I check this file: device ID is ok, i write it also in the deviceID.txt for the patcher

result is: when i boot the tomtom, map stays not recognized.

I do not understand what is the problem.

could you please help me to find the solution?

Was the map the one that came with the unit or did you download it and, if so, from where?

delete ttgo.bif and turn the Tomtom off/on, then the Tomtom should regenerate a new one
