Am I right in assuming that these relate to POI's?

Is it allright to delete the files I do not need or want?

Files with an ov2 extension are indeed Points of Interest, you should also find a coresponding .bmp file which has the same name, this is the icon that goes with the ov2 file to make up the POI data on the device - If I were you I would make a full copy of everything on the device using Windows Explorer, save it to the computer BEFORE you start to delete anything from the device, this way if anything goes wrong you will still be able to recover the device - Mike
