Operate My Go stopped working

Today I downloaded the latest updates to my GO 720 (using version 2.5.2.60) and suddenly am no longer able to Operate My Go on the computer: each time I try, I just get the following error message: "Note: This function is not yet supported for your navigation device or operating system."

When I called TomTom support, Jennifer told me it was an error in the recent download and there is nothing I can do until there is a corrected download. She could not tell me when the correction would be available, and said there was no way the company could send me a message to let me know when it does take place. Is this correct?

I am looking at previous forum entries now that seem to indicate others experienced similar problems nearly as long as a month ago! Per previous suggestions, I have tried switching the usb ports that the device is attached to, but to no avail. Any other suggestions?
 
Firmware 8.302, while it seems to have fixed the stuttering issue, has broken the emulator (Operate my Go) in Home for the pc users. For a change, Mac users do get it to work. Wait a couple of days and they'll probably have the required file ready for the pc to make it work.
 
Ok, so what is he point of Tomtom offering an update if they can not make sure the functionality of home is not going to work completely.

I received an email solicting me for a quarterly map update only to find that home is not working correctly. Poor Customer Support. Geez
