not happy with tomtom

A major highway formerly a 2 lane has been upgraded to 4 lane including bypass around cities. work was completed 5yrs ago + tomtom still does not have this. when planing a trip, it still sends one a100 miles around and 2 hrs. longer. how can I have confidence in tom tom in other areas? Also , was billed twice for map up dates, can not find contact to correct this! Need help thanks.

Regarding the maps - Tomtom had pretty terrible North American maps a few years back.

They've improved dramatically over the past few years, but they've been prioritizing the improvements on where the "anonymous data" was submitted, and where people report mapshare errors.

To help your cause, turn on "submit anonymous data". Every time you drive that bypass, you send a log of the "offroad" driving to Tomtom to alert their mapmakers to add that road.

Also, report it via mapshare as well.

They focus areas that get the most issue reports, so ask your neighbors with Tomtoms to do the same.

To see if an update made it into a new map, first check rotues.tomtom.com. If you see the road there, it will be on the current map.

besides reporting to tomtom also go to teleatlas.com They have an area on their website to report changes directly to them Its very easy to do.
