i have had 2 tomtom xl.s in the last 2 weeks
both both gone belly up
both have refuse to connect to pc after a while amongst other problems
i can't be doing with it
i want nothing more to do with tomtom, customer service is
i downloaded a map of france from the tomtotm site piad ?39.95 for it
can i assume that as i paid for that map i can now sell it?

A reset of the unit often fixes the non-connect to computer problem. Did you try that?

Sell what? The unit with the new map? Did you install it on the unit? A map is locked to the device installed upon.

yep i tried resetting the device
didn't work
my question is
i paid for a download for a map of france at a cost os ?39.95
the tomtom which it was downloaded to has gone back to the shop,i have been refunded for the device
surely i should get a refund for the map as it is on the device that i have returned to the store and should be winging its way back to tomtom
if not can i put the map onto an sd card and sell it,its my map i paid for it

Well, technically it is not your map. you just have licence from TomTom to use it. Anyway call UK support. See what they say.
