Damn it all, there must be some way to get a sticky zoom for the ONE. I have the 3rd Edition, and if I had listened to anyone besides ComumerReports, I probably wouldn't. But I do. And I like it, except for this feature where is decides what the zoom level is going to be.

Is there no way at all to get a sticky zoom on the ONE? No hack, no tweak, no way to bring that feature from the GO to the ONE?

Browse Map would work, but then I lose the visual turn-by-turn prompts, and I have to constantly readjust the position manually. Pain the in rear!

It's maddening, and it's causing me to hate an otherwise very likable product.

I think the reason the 'zoom' setting doesn't hold is because if the display has to show more of an image—or a larger map, it will slow down the processing enough that the instructions may not come in time.

Seems I read that somewhere else here on the forum.

But the map doesn't display smaller roads as you zoom out, so it shouldn't slow it down, right? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just reasoning through. I honestly don't know if that assumption is right. I usually only want it a click or two out nyway, just so I can see, for example, if a street along my route dead ends, or if it is a viable option to avoid traffic. Or if I don't have a route planned at all, if I'm just out parading.
