G'Day, can anyone help me with what is the best way to remove the sticky disc from my dashboard? I don't use it as the suction cup works fine on the windshield and I will be selling the car soon so I need to get the disk off, hopefully without ruining the dash. Any help/advice gratefully received

I'd be inclined to start with a hair dryer, though be careful .. you'd be surprised at just how much heat one of those can generate in a hurry. That should release the disk as the adhesive is heated. What you do about the remaining adhesive will depend upon the dash material. Most solvents will tend to dry out (leach out plastisizer) the plastic, and should be avoided. A gentle dose of WD40 on a cloth and a little cleaning with a vinyl cleaner afterward should do it.

Yeah, guess I could change my Avatar for an hour or two...
