No spoken traffic announcements

Hi

I have an old Go740 with current subscriptions for Live Services and map updates. My system is completely up to date and I have done a full reboot by holding the power switch down until I get the TomTom logo.

My traffic updates are working fine but the "Traffic Report" spoken updates don't seem to happen when I request them. I get a voice message "Requesting traffic report" (or something like that!) but then all I get is silence.

It's been very slow to come through for some time but now has stopped altogether. Voice directions are fine and set at 60% volume.

Can anyone suggest whether I could have inadvertently changed a setting somewhere, or confirm whether the spoken traffic service is still running please?

I've spent a lot of time trying to get to the bottom of this, Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We've lost 2G service here, so no Live on my 740 to compare. Try this manually.

From main menu, a couple of right arrows, then
"Traffic" and check "Change traffic preferences" ...
See what you find there for notification of traffic changes.
