Never seen a gpsfix

Hi,

I buyed a tomtom one some days ago and never seen an gpsfix update show in tomtom home. Tom tom home always shows an "server returned an unexpected error" when I hit update, but it worked for my free map update and for map share.

I already tried uninstalling and deleting all folders related to tomtom and reinstalling.

Is it possible that this model doesn't support quickgpsfix or something, or is this sam error that is
ruining it?

Try deleting everything in your ephem folder on your unit using Explorer and, as well, go here:

c:\documents and settings\yourname\my documents\TomTom\Home\Downloads\Complete\ephemeris\ and delete any subfolders found there.

Now connect to Home and see if you can get the file without error.

I have already deleted it. Both from my documents and from appdata\roaming and appdata\local. It looks like it's something in their server. Already tried to register a new user too, nothing works.

Their support was like "it's connecting to the sattlelites? then it's ok". But it's connecting without gps fix, taking more time and etc.

See here for the "SAM server returned an unexpected error" message. My guess is that your device isn't recognized by HOME.

Try backing up per this link, then installing this app (extract with winrar to the Tomtom drive, overwriting when prompted) . It may be more recognized by HOME as the app has been released for a longer time.

Then try "Update my ONE" again in HOME. See if quickgpsfix downloads. It may offer 8.083, if so decline it for now if everything else seems to work fine.
