mygarmin for tomtom?

is there a personal tomtom web site to search poi's, plan route's etc that you can send to your tomtom like there is for garmin (mygarmin) and vznav (verizon gps)?

i am debating whether to update my tom tom maps for $100 or buy a new garmin. i really like being able to plan trips online and then send them to my tomtom (without hooking my tomtom up to my computer).

You don't say what brand model of TomTom you have. The Go models and One XL have itinerary planning. It can be used in conjunction with Google maps. Also see this link.

You can get pois from various sites including this one and from TT itself using Home.
