my start 25 won't link with account

I have created an account and my TomTom says connected, but when asked to link the device to my account it fails. Anybody HELP

You aren't using an email address used for a prior device, are you?

No ive tried setting up a new account also, I think I will phone TomTom technical guys to see if they have any idea
