Map related issue

In 2007 I purchased Western Europe maps for my 510. Because I was having difficulties maintaining a charge, I upgraded to a 730. Now I want to transfer the Europe maps to this TomTom and for the life of me, cannot seem to locate the disk, or product license number. I do have the files on a sd card. Is there any way I can get my map license from this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It is not generally possible to transfer maps from one unit to the other. The maps are keyed to the serial number of the unit in order to prevent one lone copy of a TomTom map from finding its way to every TomTom out there.

The only way that it would be possible to move maps from a 510 to a 730 would be if the map were purchased pre-loaded onto a TomTom SD card.
