lost sats

Hi - New to here and need some help!
I recently completed a Baja expediton with My Rider V1 - it lost the satellite after 3 days of getting a good hammering on my dirt bike - all very rough dirt roads!
I read someone on this forum fixed his lost sat problems by reconnection the antenna connection. I suspect this might be the case with my V1. I would really appreciate a set by step procedure to do this - Thanks in advance!
