LIVE Services :(

Every time I log on to the TomTom site with my module plugged in it always says I can get TomTom LIVE services, but, if I understand correctly this is not compatible with my Sony XNV-660BT? Why does it advertise it then? I also says it is available in Canada where I live.

Then it says I can get real-time updates with a smartphone. Can someone clarify for me please?

I don't think LIVE services are available for that module in Canada but call CS to clarify:

The Sony XNV-660BT deos not support LIVE services.

Unfortunately, it is very easy to stumble upon the UK version of Tomtom's website where the XNV-L66BT is sold. This model is otherwise identical but supports LIVE services in Europe only.

In Canada, LIVE services are only offered on Tomtom GO PND models, smartphone apps, and in-dash on the Parrot Asteroid. See below for the Canadian product offerings:
