is version 7.10 the most updated

i have version 7.05 on my ttv3.should i waste my free update for the v 7.10?is there any one from canada on here?

According to the 800 number support line my version 6.75 map is the "latest" and the promotion code only applied to a free voice but has expired.

Actually poking around at Best Buy I found a TT One 3rd edition with map 7.05 and the problem area in Raleigh NC was updated to included the new I 540.

I did notice that some One's had a sticker that guaranteed the latest map update for 30 days after purchase. Anyone have luck with that?

I have travelled now with my One and am happy with the performance. Only complaint is that using POI to find the Hilton Garden Inn Providence Airport location is totally off. Address is wrong and TT takes me to an empty parking lot.

Not sure if this helps, but my TomTom ONE has updated automatically
twice since I bought it to get from App 6.xxx to App 7.131. Automatic
App updates seem to be staggered to avoid overload on their servers
so other people will typically get theirs before you get yours.

I didn't see anything about free updates in the package - only a useless
"free voice" offer, so I don't think you lose anything by letting TomTom HOME
update the device.

Early V7. stuff took a long time to find a first fix - the UTC time displayed
next to the satellite data always started from 00:00:00 after turning on.
If a warm start takes minutes to find a fix, then you may
have a buggy V7 release. Fixed in 7.131.

V7 introduced a "First Aid" help button with no content if you had V6.

Definitely worth keeping old backups so you can revert if necessary.
(Backup the device then use Windows Explorer to find the backed up
data and make a second copy so it won't be overwritten.)

The App version updates seem to be independent of Map updates.

i thought the latest map quarantee was a one time deal using the promotion code,i didnt want to waste my code if i have the latest map,i have only had the ttv3 for a few days but noticed it doest have some new major roads that were biult close to 2 years ago,im in the okanagan bc canada,i tried a magellan roadmate before this and it was awful,didnt show any roads other than the main st going thru town,returned it imediatly.
