Is It Possible?

Hi all! If I purchased a Griffin PowerJolt Dual USB Car Charger or something similar, would it be possible to power my Go 940 Live via a standard USB Type A to a Mini-USB Type B lead cable? Thanks in advance.

Yes it will power it but as its intended for use with Apple devices it will only output 500mA @ 5V your TomTom car charger will output 1000mA (or higher) @5V so you might find the battery in the TomTom runs out on a long trip.
Try and find a similar product with two outlets both at 1000mA @ 5V as these are a better bet, they are available as I use on in the car quite often, the unit I have has no name/ brand though! and I cannot remember what it came supplied with - Mike

Thanks Mike, I think I might go for the Dexim DCA135 Dual Car Adaptor
. On their website, it's quote at 5V DC, 1000mA. Shame it only has 1 USB port though.
