iPhone volume

First off let me say that my TomTom app for my iPhone has been fantastic. I have never owned any Nav system before this and it takes me where I need to go.
Before v1.1 my iPhone had plenty of volume to easily hear the directions. Now after the upgrade it maybe only a 1/4 as loud and very difficult to hear while driving . Is anybody else having this problem ? Or is it intentional with the new mount now out now so we will need it to hear ?

I did a reset on the app to factory settings and now the volume is loud again.
